NFL Week 7 Predictions

0

Week 6 of the NFL season had many blowouts and expected results, but still had some exciting moments with three games going to overtime and multiple others being decided by a few points. With intriguing matchups across the board, week 7 should be another good one, and I’ll give you my predictions for every game here.

Broncos at Browns

Week 7 starts off with a Thursday Night Football clash between two 3-3 teams looking to bounce back from tough losses, as the Browns were crushed by the Cardinals and the Broncos fell to the Raiders. The Browns are dealing with a slew of injuries, so I expect this one to be close, but I just don’t see Teddy Bridgewater being able to keep up with Baker Mayfield and this Browns offense.

My pick: Browns 31-27

Panthers at Giants

The Panthers have struggled recently and are currently on a three-game losing streak. However, every one of their losses has been close, and the Giants are absolutely terrible with or without Daniel Jones. This one should be a good bounce back game for the Panthers, and I don’t see it being that close.

My pick: Panthers 26-10

Falcons at Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa’s return last week for Miami certainly did not go as planned, as they lost in London to a Jaguars team that was on a 20-game losing streak. I expect the struggles to continue this week for the Dolphins against a Falcon’s team that I think is underrated, especially their offense led by Matt Ryan, Calvin Ridley, and do-it-all weapon Cordarrelle Patterson. The Falcons will win this one and get back to .500 on the year.

My pick: Falcons 34-24

Washington Football Team at Packers

The Packers have been great ever since their 38-3 week 1 loss to the Saints, which seems to be one of the biggest anomalies of the season. I expect them to extend their win streak to six games against a struggling Washington Football Team that currently has one of the league’s worst defenses.

My pick: Packers 37-21

Bengals at Ravens

The Ravens are one of the hottest teams in football coming off a dominating win over the Chargers, and in the past, they have always seemed to have the Bengals’ number. However, this Bengals team is different from years past and I think they’re even better than their record says, as they are a few breaks away from being 6-0 instead of 4-2. I like an improved Bengals defense to slow down Lamar Jackson and the high-powered Ravens rushing attack, and Joe Burrow to lead them to the upset victory

My pick: Bengals 27-21

Jets at Patriots

After taking the Cowboys to overtime in week 6, the Patriots showed that they can play with almost anyone, while the Jets have been consistently terrible besides their shocking win over the Titans a few weeks ago. I expect the Patriots to win this one comfortably in a relatively low scoring affair.

My pick: Patriots 23-7

Chiefs at Titans

The Chiefs struggled early against Washington but pulled it together for the win, while the Titans picked up a huge win against the Bills on Monday Night Football. I think the Chiefs have solved their issues and I expect them to return to form in a big way in this one, although Derrick Henry and the Titans rushing attack with keep it close.

My pick: Chiefs 37-34

Lions at Rams

They say anything can happen in the NFL, but this game is one of the biggest locks I’ve seen in a while. The Rams are 5-1 and have been playing some great football, while the Lions are the league’s worst team at 0-6 and were just destroyed by the Bengals. I expect the Rams to make it 0-7 for Detroit, and it won’t be close

My pick: Rams 35-13

Eagles at Raiders

The Raiders had a turbulent past couple of weeks going into their matchup with the Broncos. They were coming off of two straight losses as well as the resignation of their head coach, but they were able to come together and get the win in that one. However, I think this Eagles team is much better than their 2-4 record shows, as they have played both the Chiefs and the Buccaneers close in recent weeks. I expect Jalen Hurts and Devonta Smith to have big games and the Eagles to pull off the upset

My pick: Eagles 26-17

Texans at Cardinals

I know I just said that Rams over Lions is the biggest lock I’ve seen in a while, but I might have to make a correction; this game is the biggest lock I’ve seen in a while. The Texans are on a five-game losing streak, while the Cardinals are 6-0 and the clear best team in football. The spread for this game is 17.5, but I expect the Cardinals to win by much more than that.

My pick: Cardinals 41-17

Bears at Buccaneers

The Bears hung with the Packers last week for three quarters, but as he made clear to the Bears crowd after he scored the game-sealing touchdown, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers always own them. I expect the Bears to hang around again this week, but in the end, they’ll be no match for the defending Super Bowl champs.

My pick: Buccaneers 24-16

Colts at 49ers

The 49ers should be well rested for this one coming off their bye week, and in week 5 their defense looked very impressive against the Cardinals. However, the Colts are finally starting to find their rhythm, and with Quenton Nelson eligible to return from IR and anchor their offensive line I like them to get the win over San Francisco.

My pick: Colts 27-20

Saints at Seahawks

Week 7 concludes with a Monday Night Football matchup between the Saints and the Seahawks, and the unexpected quarterback duel of Jameis Winston vs Geno Smith. Besides a loss to the Giants the Saints have been solid this year, and without Russell Wilson the Seahawks offense is a shell of what it usually is. I like the Jameis and the Saints to win this one on the road.

My pick: Saints 23-16
