SLU PIC Deadline Extended to March 1
The SLU PIC application deadline has been extended to Wednesday, March 1! What is SLU PIC you ask? Well, it stands for St. Lawrence University Public Interest Corps. It provides SLU students and recent graduates with paid summer internships that deal with public interest and non-profit organizations. These internships range from working with environmental advocacy and food security groups, and social justice organizations to museums, art centers, and more. There is truly an opportunity for anyone of any interest, major, or passion.
These internships provide you with leadership experience, networking opportunities, and the chance to build skills that can be applied to any future career.
Not only are these internships paid, but you receive free housing. You will stay in the Townhouses with your fellow SLU PIC interns, which is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people or to live with some friends who are also interested in becoming SLU PIC interns. Summer in the North Country is filled with roasting smores by the campfire, exploring the beauty of local nature through hikes and swimming in various rivers and lakes, and weekly barbeques with fellow students and faculty who are also spending their summer at SLU doing academic research.
