How long have you been playing Basketball? How did you get into the sport?
I have been playing basketball since I was in fifth grade and joined a traveling team with a group of girls in school. While growing up I was actually really invested in dancing and took lessons all throughout the week.
It wasn’t until I was asked to join this team that I became interested, but I am so happy I did because I played with those same girls all the way up through high school.

What made you want to join the team at SLU?
Being that I lived so close to SLU, I came to the games pretty often and I wanted to stay somewhat close to home. I am super close with my younger brother and he was still in high school at the time, I wanted to stay close enough to where I could go home and watch his sporting events. I also wanted to be a part of team where academics are just as important as the sport, and this is what SLU definitely has offered me.

What has been your favorite experience on the team so far?
My favorite experience on the team so far has been the times in which we come back early from Christmas break. We typically need to be back the day after Christmas and we stay in the hotel until school opens up again. Although sad that I have to come back early and leave my family, it is the time in the year in which we all become so close. We hangout all day and even take trips to difference places such as Canada. I love getting to hangout with the team and incorporate our new freshman into the mix.

What is your competition/practice schedule like?
When we come back from summer we start up with pre season workout which consists of conditioning and lifting during the week. Once the official season start we have practice Monday-Saturday and play games on Friday and Saturday evenings.

What do you do to celebrate a win?
Something that we do after every game is go out dinner as a team with all of our parents and families. It is so fun to hangout with everyone and get to know all of the parents so well throughout the season.

Who would you say is your biggest fan?
My biggest fan by far is my mom. She is at every single game, home or away, no matter the distance. She has always been my biggest supporter and best friend on and off the court and I don’t know what I would do without her.
