NFL Opening Day: Cowboys, Patriots, Packers, Seahawks.

Week 1 is a time for NFL franchises to show off their flare, depth, and pre-season readiness. Among the powerhouse-coined lineups, teams like Greenbay, Atlanta, and Dallas showed up to play, each team putting their powerful offenses on display for wins.

Dallas had an all-around stand-out regular season last year. With quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Eziekel Elliot leading the charge again this season, the Cowboys will be a force of nature. Their powerful offensive line, coupled with Ezekiel Elliot’s explosiveness, positions Dallas as lethal going into the rest of the season.

Although the Patriots botched their exhibition last Thursday against the Kansas City, it is impossible to exclude them from being a potential dominating force this season.

The Patriots defense was extremely scattered and quarterback Tom Brady wasn’t connecting with tight end Rob Gronkowski or wide receiver Brandin Cooks. On top of this, the Patriots suffered the loss of frequent target wide receiver Julian Edelman for the entire season.

Patriots Head Coach Bill Belicheck and defensive coordinator Matt Patricia have to figure out the Patriot’s defense because the NFL can expect Tom Brady to come out for blood against New Orleans next week. The 5 time superbowl champion can never be counted out of the competition.

The Greenbay packers had one of the more impressive wins against the Seattle Seahawks. Green Bay all around looks solid. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is in contention for the best in the league and has a number of reliable targets, including wide receiver Jordy Nelson who is easily a top 5 receiver in the NFL. Greenbay’s fast defense held together by solid linebackers, including offensive lineman Clay Matthews, restricted a strong Seattle offense to 9 points. Green Bay will be tough competition for anyone that faces them this season.

Besides the usual top performers, the Jacksonville Jaguars looked impressive last weekend, even though their franchise has never won a superbowl. After seeing them devastate the L.A. Rams, they may be able to give a few teams huge upsets this season and keep the league on it’s toes.
