Favorite Dana meal?
I don’t know if this counts as a meal, but the gluten-free, vegan coconut chocolate chip muffins are my favorite Dana food.
How long have you been doing track and field?
I started track and field in my first year of high school.
What inspired you to start doing track and field?
My brother was a senior when I was a freshman, and he did indoor track, so I joined to spend more time with him before he went off to college.
Why did you choose to attend St. Lawrence?
I chose St. Lawrence because of the networking opportunities and the study abroad programs. I was also drawn to the size and the community feel of the school.
What is your favorite team memory?
My favorite team memory is eating grapes on the infield of Middlebury College with Wyatt Newman.
What is your favorite St. Lawrence memory?
My favorite memory here at SLU so far is hiking Azure Mountain with a group of people from my FYP.
What is your favorite part of being a collegiate athlete?
My favorite part about being a collegiate athlete is being able to meet new people and be a part of a team.
How has your season been going so far?
My season has been going pretty well! I had never picked up a weight before coming to SLU, so learning how to throw a new implement has been very fun and rewarding. I also throw shot put, which has come with some ups and downs, but I’m excited to keep working on it and get better throughout the season.
Favorite pro athlete?
Sticking with the throwing theme, my favorite pro athlete would have to be Chase Jackson (formally Chase Ealey).
