Christmas is Coming and So are the Movies

Netflix is releasing an unnecessary amount of Christmas movies this holiday season, here is the list:

The Elf on the Shelf: An Elf Story – an animated film about a boy who is question the magic of Christmas. The protagonist, Chippy, teams up with Santa and an unexpected child to help the boy find the spirit of Christmas again. I would recommend watching this movie with young family members, or if you’re babysitting toddlers.

Elf Pets: Santa’s St. Bernard’s Save Christmas – Another animated film about elves who team up with St. Bernard puppies and a family to help save Christmas when there is not enough Christmas spirit in the world. Another movie I would recommend putting on while babysitting.

My Dad’s Christmas Date – A 16-year-old girl ties to set her dad up with someone during the Christmas season because her mom died two years earlier. This movie seems like it has a weird premise, bout could be endearing for a younger crowd.

The Claus Family – a boy discovers his grandfather is Santa Claus, and then helps him deliver all the presents to children around the world. Although the boy hates Christmas…

Love Hard – A movie that seems somewhat age appropriate to those who might be reading this article. A woman meets her “perfect match” on a dating app, but finds out she has been catfished when she flies across the country to surprise him for Christmas.

Father Christmas is Back – This movie centers around four sisters who have reunited for the first time in many years for Christmas, and uncover what tore their family apart long ago. This seems like a movie that would get me into the Christmas spirit.

Snowbound for Christmas – This is your classic Hallmark Christmas movie. A woman who is in-love with her boss goes on a company trip with him, but they get stuck at a hotel in the middle of a snowstorm where they are the only two guests. While it seems like a great plot for a horror movie, it is actually just a romantic movie about two people falling in-love.

The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star – I know what you are thinking: they’ve made three of these?! Yes, apparently. A priceless Christmas relic is stolen, a royal look-alike turns to her doppelgänger and her ex for help.

A Boy Called Christmas – a young boy sets out for an adventure to the North Pole in search to discovered the fabled village of the elves. He takes with him a reindeer and a pet mouse for the ride. Definitely a kid’s movie, another good one for babysitting.

A Castle for Christmas – a bestselling author heads to Scotland after a scandal, and ends up loving a castle, although she must get through the cranky duke who owns it. Definitely has the recipe of a Hallmark movie.
