How has this season been overall compared to others?

This season we as a team have demonstrated tremendous growth compared to last year. Last year we were a very young team and struggled to make corrections after losses. This season we had great team chemistry and brought energy to all of our games.

Having beaten SLU’s record for 3 pointers in a season, have you always been a shooter?

Shooting threes has always been my favorite part of the game. In high school I broke the New York State record for three pointers made in the Federation tournament with 13 and number of three pointers made in a single game with 8. I would not have been able to break the school record for three pointers made in a season here at SLU without the support from my teammates and coaches. My teammates got me the ball when I was open and I would not have been able to do it without them!

What’s your favorite part about being a part of SLU athletics?

My favorite part of being a part of SLU Athletics is being able to be a part of a team with such a great group of women! I am so grateful to be on a team where we are supportive and share the common goal of being the best team we can be. I also appreciate having such a caring coaching staff. Coach Roiger always wants what is best for us on and off the court.

What will you guys look to improve upon from this season?

We will look to improve our rebounding and reducing our number of turnovers for next season. Individually we will work on perfecting our skills for each of our positions by getting in the gym over the summer. I am very excited for the future of our team because we have the potential to be great!

How long have you been playing basketball and what drew you to the sport?

I have been playing basketball since I was around the age of 10. I fell in love with the sport because I enjoy working on my skills and competing with a team to achieve a common goal.

What’s your favorite place on campus and why?

My favorite place on campus is Herring-Cole hall. I love this building because it is so beautiful and it’s a great place to study and read.

If you could have dinner with any famous athlete who would it be?

If I could have dinner with a famous athlete it would be Michael Jordan. I would choose him because I have some of his quotes hanging in my room and he has inspired me to work hard to be my best.
